The Ferrari Enzo is one of the most popular super cars in the world, only 398 were made, and you had to be selected by Ferrari to purchase one. The car is named after the founder of the company, Mr Enzo Ferrari. The car was constructed in 2003 and although fours years have passed, if still remains as one of the best super cars overall.
The body for the car is made from carbon fibre, to reduce the weight of the chasse, also many F1 technologies were used within the car such as carbon ceramic brakes and sequential gear transmissions. Performance wise, the Enzo is host to a V12 12 cylinder engine, the engine is placed near the middle of the car to ensure weight distribution is equal. The engine produces an astonishing 651 bhp at 7800rpm. Also the searing wheel has build in LED lights, to inform you when to change gear and a gear change can be implemented in just 150 milliseconds (just over 1 tenth of a second) by the onboard computer.
The Enzo can get from 0 to 60 is just 3.14, making it the fastest accelerating car today. It can reach 100 miles per hour in an amazing 6 seconds., also if that is
not enough, flat out, you would be doing 217 mph. The Enzo does approximately 8 mpg and less at top speeds. The Enzo has a four wheel independent suspension with push rod shock absorbers to the impact from the suspension.
In 2006, a businessman named Stefan Eriksson crash an Enzo into a pole are losing control the car hit the pole at 198 mph and as a result, it split the car into two sections. Apparently Stefan was intoxicated at the time of the crash, however despite crashing at 198 mph, he managed to walk away from the crash.
